Thanks to TVandVideoDirect I've been able to sort out a T.V. with 0%-finance for 3 years.

Any Musical Fidelity out there I can get with 0%-finance?

I recall Audio-T/Excellence doing six months but live quite far away from any of them and also recall them not mailing certain manufacturers.

    Thanks. :JPS:

I think KJWestOne have financing in place, not sure about 0% though.

However, if you need to finance a purchase, BY DEFINITION you can't afford it, so why stretch yourself that far?

OK with a car or house I suppose, but a hi-fi? Surely not....

I'm only considering it if it were interest-free, clearly. :p

...I came across VickersHi-Fi (0% two years) and to my disapointment doesn't stock Musical Fidelity. Meridian, Sugden and the like are there, though.

    Thanks.

Just checked out KJWestOne and they state interest-free, Dynamic Turtle.

Edit:- Unfortunately they don't offer Musical Fidelity.

Why would you want to buy MF anyway? :p

More seriously, I'm sure there is another piece of kit that does the same stuff.

Your emphasis of 'sure' isn't quite sure, is it. I want to go down the MF route, that's all. And if I can't then tough-titty.

No need to get upset. What is it you are after? Why so set on Musical fidelity? I’m only asking because you may be able to get something else that suits your needs equally as well from somewhere that offers 0% finance.

I agree. It is silly to overstretch yourself, particularly for a hifi, but a finance purchase at 0% is not, by definition, overstretching yourself. Money has a cost, it is called interest. If someone wants to lend me money and not charge me interest, it would be foolish to turn them down. :D

I'm not upset, Tenson. I just want to take advantage of interest-free.

I thought you were joking. :)

Of course you have to have the money to pay it back, but for the finance period you can invest it as you see fit. If you don't want to take any risk with it you can still effectively get a 5% discount.

I am however not suggesting this is right for everyone as you have to have the discipline to not spend it on something else.

As you can imagine I wouldn't be here if there was an ounce of interest involved.

...I thought that would be obvious. :D

Quite, so perhaps you should look for a dealer that offers interest free and pick from one of their brands, rather than deciding on a brand and trying to find a place that does it interest free.

Having said that, what’s the bloody point for something as cheap as Musical Fidelity? If it costs £1,000 and you put that money in an account with 5% APR that only makes you £50 in a whole year. Its not worth it! Maybe if you were buying something that was £20,000 it would be worth it – but you won’t find a dealer willing to lend you £20,000 for a year.

if you need to use interest free credit, maybe you should by a midi system and wait untill you can afford to buy outright.

...or buy it 2nd hand (if you can find it) and save 30-60% off the retail price.....

    Christ, Tenson.

    ...As for a Midi-system - Come on.

I've considered second-hand but not interest, La Toilette.

If indeed MF is not available for the credit then I am very tempted with Sugden. Which is available for credit.
