I have an LG CM4590 xboom stereo that is 700 watts. The stereo sounds good especially with vocals but I noticed that the sub woofer doesn't need an outlet but uses a plug for the connector so I cut the wire so I could use a different subwoofer to help achieve better lows.

Each channel located on the back of the stereo is 3ohms a piece including the subwoofer channel. Will I run into problems using a 4ohm 12 inch speaker?
(I have the speaker plugged into the subwoofer channel)

A 3 ohm driver is essentially the same as a 4 ohm driver, as impedances are very nominal.
