I have been thinking about trying a 5.1 music DVD for a change. I haven't heard one before and would like your opinions on what they are like.

Not really bothered about the Video bit, as I would be listening to the music without the TV on, mainly. Is a 5.1 DVD no different to a CD played in say PL2 Music mode?

    The one(s) I have been looking @ are –

haven't heard either of those discs.

5.1 music dvds will be in 5.1. cds played in PL2 will be actually a 4.0 signal but played through 5.1 speakers. Basically, no separate subwoofer channel and the rear speakers aren't in true stereo (correct me if i'm wrong anyone).

I've got some great 5.1 music dvds
Peter Gabriel- Growing up live 2003 tour
    Steely Dan- Two against nature
    Britney Spears- In the zone
    Madonna- Drowned world live 2000
Michael Jackson- HIStory part I and II

iirc all except for MJ disc are in DTS too. So pretty good sound quality.
