6000ki

Originally put on feebay, but it got sniped by a G.Wolf who'll be sending me a cheque for £3500 from which I deduct my costs plus £50 for my troubles, after its cleared you understand so a complete waste of time.

I have a Marantz 6000KI cd player purchased new by myself 3 years ago. I have the original box etc, I should have the certificate but we're having a very long game of hide and seek at moment (im the seeker). The player is in excellent condition except for a surface scratch on the top of the player due to a cat choosing to have a sit down on it (the scratch is from the very quick move it made after I found her........she didnt do it again).

The player has had a fault. It showed up the 'error' message that seems to be a problem with these machines. However mine wasnt disc related, it did it with everything. I changed the transport bout 6 months ago which did didly squat. After some perplexing nights I discovered that the magnetic puck wasnt connecting with the transport 100%. A quick adjustment of a few mm to the transport (the screws werent exactly tight when I got in there) and a bit of dampling on the puck for good measure has seemed to do the trick. Ive been using this player for the last few weeks after a sabatical and its been faultless, Ive tried everything to get it to balls up and it just refuses too. I cant guarantee that this wont happen again but Im quite confident that it should be okay, if it does Im sure its just a case of the screws being lose again.

Anyway, if Id have realised Mr Wolf was bad this time yesterday Id be keeping it, but I went out and bought a new DVD player to use as transport and as I now have two DVD players and a much lower current account the Marantz must find a new home.

So, what am I offered on this? It must go.
