    krell for smoothness, sweet treble and 'American' bass.
    AVI for detail and soundstage.

    well thats a bloody suprise.......he told me they were all his work...

    sold it now anyway, still is a good amp for the money s/hand

    humm methinks someone should pull him up if this is true..people can't claim work as their own if its not.

    I can only guess that by"building them" he really means "upgrades" them,maybe he gets them as a kit?
    well who know's...... I could have lived with it in my 2nd system
    but my love of the old krell means somthing had to go.

    and I,ve no regrets.............

    well no comparison imo, Icon in isolation is o.k. does what cheapish valve amps do... nice sweet vocals, entertaining .

    glad to hear that it was all right on the night. I have a secret yearning for a krell. The shame of it is any spare cash gets diverted at source into the baby fund, read the 'my wife wants to give up work' fund
