    Everything by Burmester, also thought that the DCS stuff was also way overhyped and not really all that good. In fact not a lot of high end gear interested me this year. Heard some nice McKintosh kit early on this year and that was that.

    I bought a audio research ls2 to repalce a avi pre i was using. i'm not sure it sounds any better but worth it just for the selector switch

    dunno about pretty........but quality of the woodwork to me is their only redeming feature,but to be fair I,ve only listened to the small stand mounted
    models.

    I had a cdp back in August (Dac combat a month before that) just to see what all the fuss was about, even got matching power chord :ffrc: Its had some serious rave write ups and big praise, being touted as THE CDP bar none.
    Hum, maybe all the Yanks are hifi incarnate I dunno, It just let me colder than a former partner and if you got too close your privates suffered frost bite :(
    Absolutely music removal of the first order, quite scary really :eek: . If your bag is female vocals then this is proberbly THE player to own for sure.
    Lovely looking, great functionality all the toys, serious build etc.oh and bass, what happened to it?????
    It was like you needed a sub to put back what was missing?
    Anyway, excellent willy waving factor. I'm afraid it went the way clangers mate lost in space. Wm
