Loftin White 2A3 SE kit from Bluebell audio? About 450 notes iirc leaving lots of change for a pre or phono if you felt that way inclined, or get really really ****ed.
It comes in a little underpower but with all the SE lovelyness and 90dB spks I doubt you'd really notice.

EDIT: Thought I was in the DIY forum. Still, if you can solder a few wires and aren't colour blind its an excellent circuit (the schematic is on tinternet somewhere, beautifully simple)

Indeed, but I kind of think it's cruel, we have kids who come round as well. One of them posted a CD case through the valve guard of my current amp a few weeks ago. Didn't find it till later in the day.

Lorsummit, I've seen quite a few officially imported 240v Consonance M100S 300B integrateds around £1k used (rrp £1500)

Push-pull 300B's generate about 25wpc and its a very nice looking amp too. Well worth a look if you ask me: http://www.opera-consonance.com/products/m100splus.htm

Very good review in HFN (if that means anything to you?).

You could import a 240V model of course for £750-£800 but Walrus have one for £995 and give a 1 year warranty on ex-dem gear.....

That's much the same as what I've got. Same circuitry barring the fancy automatic biasing. They don't sound particularly different to the one I currently have. Don't see the point of buying new either, only makes a dealer richer

IME you've got to be careful what you reproduce though. In my line of work you see some very poor reproductions
