I've just taken out a domain name and a hosting account at 34sp.com, I decided to go with them as they are local and if their is any problems I can speak to them in person.

The accounts not active yet but the site will be about music in manchester. It will have a forum, and news/gigs pages (seperate from the forum) I will also have review pages. The entire site will be database driven so it should be quite dymanic.

I am going to get a t-shirt made with the sites name on and wear it when I go to gigs:MILD:

A good choice there sir! Zerogain is now on 34sp, and I use them for my own hosting, and they also host enscape (hardware site I'm involved with).

Yeah thanks, i heared good things about them before and then when I found this site was hosted by them I thought for £15 a year I've got nothing to loose.

Do you find the 1GB a month bandwidth enough?

Plenty for my own needs, although I spent the extra for 2GB that I've found I don't need.

Enscape is on a much more expensive package with a dedicated machine that solely runs the site.

I've had an excellent experience with 34sp.com since I switched to them. TBH, the shared hosting package I had with 1&1 previously I had nothing to complain about either but they wouldn't budge on the 100MB database limit so they had to go.

With 34sp.com I've got a reseller package for £20 a month which gives me 20Gb of bandwith and 650MB of space which I can divvy up as I see fit amongst upto 20 accounts. At the moment I've got it nearly all allocated to zerogain.com. It's a great solution as many reseller accounts don't let you divide up your total resources as you want.

    Michael.
