I'm looking to upgrade from a (very) old Rega 3 - so old it still has the S-shaped arm! - and have been impressed by reviews of the Acoustic Signature Challenger and Final Tool - almost worth buying for the name alone! Distribution seems a bit patchy still so I haven't heard either model yet. Has anyone who owns/has heard them got an opinion to offer?

Also, what arm and (high output) cart. combinations would best suit these tables?
    Tecnoarm, Nima, OL Silver.......?
Grado Reference, DV10 or 20, Goldring 1042, Sumiko......?

Relevant other bits of my system are EAR 834P, Pathos Classic One Mk.II & Ruark Prelude IIs.

    Any advice gratefully received.

Hi, mate of mine's just got a new Challenger / Nima / musicmaker. He's very pleased with it. Says he doesn't miss his old Gyro / Ol Silver, one bit.
