Been playing a few MOre gigs lately, and getting a good response.

Played as part of a two day acoustic event and had several people aksing if he's anything recorded or available online :)

"Proper" recording has kinda begun (case of fitting it in around work), but it's hard to know if to keep it stripped down or to try and add something in the way of production.

    Funny you should say that!

At the acoustic event I mentioned in the last post, a guy called Patrick Briscoe (www.patrickbriscoe.com) played. I was thinking José Gonzalez straight away.
My brother was going to go on next but the guy organizing it put someone else on between to break them up a bit as quite similar styles. Got talking to Patrick and he mentioned that he'd actually played with José a couple of times. He was really good and worth checking out too.

I mentioned José here (http://zerogain.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11037) a while ago but little response. The album's rather good.

    Ah,

I eventually got the album MO. It was indeed good. I think track 6 on it is well better than heartbeats. Have to watch out you don't drift off though! Not exactly night time driving music :)

Glad you like it Nils! Did you look into Nicolai Dunger too? He'd probably be of interest. A bit MOre lively than José in parts, but still beautiful songs.

Check out that aka mo guy too..... not that I'm biased, but he's pretty good too ;)

Didn't get around to getting Nicolai. Am listening to younger you now. 'Had it coming' is a great song!

In fact, it sounds similar to the music a friend makes. He managed to get an album out (although it only sold about 20 copies...almost all his mum), so I got a copy and put it on the 'puter. About two weeks later I noticed that another girl in work had it on her itunes, so I sent her an email asking how she knew Fritz. I got a really guilty email back saying she'd just worked out how to steal other peoples music using myTunes ;)

    haha! Brilliant

At least someone else got to hear it though :)

Tell her to feel free to add my brothers deMO's to her itunes too :D

Some of the vocals, guitar and levels are off on these dem's but they give a idea where he's coming from.

    haha!

He's actually quite a cheery fellow.

I suggested a full on action hollywood blockbuster theme, but not sure it would have worked.
