I remember seeing a version of Alice Through The Looking Glass a while back, and have been trying to track it down to buy. Amazon.co.uk only have it from market sellers based in America.

I've also spotted Jan Svankmajer's animated version. I've a vague meMOry of having seen this years ago and being impressed. Again however it's only available through market sellers based in America/Canada.

I'm not really sure what to do. Do I go through one of these market sellers or order from amazon.com?

What's the deal on taxes and such?

Or better still (and MOre my point...), does anyone know of any UK based sellers?

Both only appear to be Region 1.

    Amazon links...

Ended up ordering the Svankmajer version (DVD region 0) from amazon.com

$33.79 including p+p which works out at just over £18 I think

Does the £18 limit include p+p?

    i think it's £18 for the goods, and p+p doesn't count.

    And you're correct!

The package had a sticker listing both goods value, and p+p cost. No fees encountered :)

We watched the MOvie a few nights ago and, well.... Weird, surreal, messed up, dark etc.... are about all I can say.
At first there were a few laughs at things like seeing the white rabbit (buck toothed and not very pleasent), and the general oddness of the mix of live action and animation. Then as things go on it changed from laughter to MOre of a "what the ****?" reaction to the absurdity of it!

It's hard to rate it in usual terms. But if you fancy something different, you need to see this. With bits like the rabbit and co trying to attack Alice, and the general darkness of it, it's certainly not one to leave the kids alone watching.
