I've recently thought about a 5.1 or 7.1 system and started my investigations:
Since hearing some Gryphon active speakers many years ago;I promised myself I would buy some if I ever re-equipped.
My researches indicate that ADAM active speakers are good and affordable,
The problem arises as to how to connect 5xadam A7s with a 5 channel preampwhich will decode the digital signals from my sky
HD box and blue ray disc player/recorder.
I am told that a Denon or similar AV receiver can be used as a preamp to distribute the 5/7 channel signal from HDbox/blue ray player.
Stand alone preamps for blueray/HDbox channeling are not yet available;although I'm told that Arcam will market one soon at about £7000(they must be joking?
I would be grateful if some erudite AV freak could tell me if these ideas are possible or nonsense?
I would also be grateful for any cabling advice?
Thanks for reading my little missive!
