    Have you heard it, Rob?

Are you still using a v-dac?

I bought one out of curiosity and it sounds absolutely fine.

I rarely use an external dac these days, just run the CD player (Rega) direct to the pre amp or if streaming I listen straight from the Apple AEX.

I've a Cambridge Dacmagic here should I ever need such a thing. I bought a Rega dac as a package with my CD player but I'll be selling that soon. Just don't use it.

It amazes me that integrated amps don't now come with an on-board DAC thrown in (as they used to have phono stages).

I costs so little to implement.

But then for the the £10 each you can add as many digital inputs as you need and have room for.

It's still annoying. When will the industry wake up?

    £40 For a DAC, that's a rip-off!

Well it is when you can get it for £10.

I don't know how the do it? They must leave the factory at a pound a piece.
