    Anyone know anything about this.

I don't want an amp, but I seem to remember hearing about this one
    amp
Is it any good, how old, is it possibly a bargain?

Ive been useing one for around 6months

    Its OK, very good midrange.
Drives my Dyn's OKish, but not the last word in oomph

TBH, i would say it would be a good upgrade from a budget amp, but no more.
I went from Audiolab 8000A to the shearne, mainly because the Audiolab was struggling badly with my speakers. It was a slight improvement but nothing ground breaking.

It may be a slight improvement over an intek, but IMHO not worth the outlay.
Save the cash and go up a few more notches;)

I *think* I've heard this a few years back. -It was a smilarly styled Alchemist amp, but not sure about the MOdel, and them control nobs look different-.

The styling's certainly eye catching, not sure about the gold/bronze MOself though. Can't really remember too much about the sound, it was ok, I didn't buy one though. As said on the advert, it's no boom boom box ;) And I think it had a relatively low output.

If the price stays down though it's got to be worth a punt though :D
