whilst changing amps last eve, i accidentally crossed bare speaker wires on the right channel. The amp, does now, not work on this side,,,,there were no funny smells or the like, but there is a distinct buzzing coming from the right speaker. itried different speakers with the same result...I know ive f****d it up, but what may I have done and how can this be fixed? cheers andy:SLEEP:

depend on the amp if solid state you've likely blown the output transistors

a hard lesson ......always switch off and allow 5-10 mins discharge time before swapping if its a valve amp it could be one of the output transformers ..these can be very delicate.

you never got back to me over the 4mm plugs ?

Zanash, I was thinking of selling the lot...ive been so pi**** off with it all recently, especially with blowing the amp a few days backi...it is SS by the way. The plugs I still want, but was trying other things, which is why ive buggered the amp....(havent got over it yet!) ill send cheque, but need postal details, as ive deleted a lot of my inbox recently....Are the output resistors an expensive job?
