Last set of those went for over £20!

Shame they are local pickup only but if anyone is in that area, there is a real bargain!

A bargain perhaps, but it makes me wince when I see people saying things like this about speakers:

"Power output: is probably around 30W" :inferno:

I've seen people refuse to buy a pair of speakers and/or amp because "the speakers are rated at 50W and the amp is 70W so that won't work will it". Whoever thought about power ratings for speakers should be shot

they were £100 over 10 years ago. The tweeters are ok but the sound eminating from the woofers is absolutely appalling- a chap brought some into work one day and even some mission m71s blew them away! but, bearing in mind theres some gold banana plugs there, some ok-ish metal dome tweeters then yes thats a bargain.

If I remember correctly they are the Celestion DL3 with a titanium tweeter ...one of the first Celestions with metal tweeter.

Many moons ago I have owned one of this babys...good treble but let down by a spongy bass

Il c'est moi. They are for an in-law who has little money. They will be joining a Rotel reciever and a cheap CD player in his lounge if I can tart them up sufficient to pass the MILAF (MOTHER IN LAW ACCEPTABLITY FACTOR) If not they may end up attached to my computer.
Mind you if they're better than the Meadowlarks
