    LOL @ garyi! :ffrc:

    Fair play! ;)

I'm just off to sit in on a Dom's dem at Audio Excellence. CDP's are the order of the day. *Might* get a listen to a 5i, if not it'll be the standard 5 against the current Rega Planet.

    So there we go! :)

    I'm into leather.

Actually Merlin we have just purchased a rather nice beech table with stainless steel top, going to pick it up now, this should complete our transition from Ikea furniture to real furniture.

On a hifi front, its a lot more heavy and solid, should do the bass wonders, etc.

Well we lugged our new table home. We went to see Lord of the Rings first. I have to say being a person who hasn't read the book, I found it dragged a bit to begin with. I didn't understand the relevence of the caretaker guy trying to burn his son, becuase in the film they don't give it context, I had to get that from Sheila afterwards, apparently in the book the caretaker had an all seeing eye.

Anyhoo, we also bought this lovely stainless steel table from John Lewis. I was actually in there for a mathmos light www.mathmos.co.uk (Another great british company) But alas John Lewis didn't have it.

ON the way out we spotted this table which had a few scratches and dents and we got it well cheap.

Its a bit large for the room, but we don't intend on being here for ever, and it does make a great geek station.

In a word fantastic Julian. They have a newer one out now but I think it pushed it beyond what I wanted to pay as well.

This one is 60 quid from comet. It recognises all the naim models, however my 52 is an old one so I had to programme it (you can point other devices at it for learning)

At the bottom is 4 buttons you can programme to do a multi function. Number 1 is set to turn the TV on, put NTL onto SKY and turn the amp over to the TV imput all in one hit, its an excellent idea.

THe only niggles would be having to guess some functions becuase the icons don't always tally. For instance the NTL controler has stuff for getting info on TV programes, but the info button on the kameleon takes you to interactive.

However these are reprogramable, which I havn't got round too, but it sure is nice getting shot of five controllers for this one, I havn't needed to pull the other controllers out for any reason.

    So yes, well recommended.

I would suggest the few extra bob for the 6in1 though I think the 4in1 has less facilities for learning.
