you could argue that if the purpose of the dots is to damp the cabinet or drive units, then the weight of a cow pat may make it more effective at damping.

Of course, you may need to smear it on the actual drive unit surrounds to put it in the same place.

I don't have any cows, but my neighbours cat leaves me plenty of parcels if anyone wants to buy them..
