Now, lets see, Marco and bub, playing love me, love my my monitors, politley trying to side step bitch slapping each other (in public) and telling everyone else they have naff sounds, home cinema flunkies again  ran (T)son on a "if aint got linn on it, it's a non proveable theoretical pile of dog doo doo", with thinly disguised snidey put down, Mikelab doing his best british stiff up lip diplomacy, poor penance gets shafted yet again (part 37), Merlin being non merlin, wm can't be arsed (again, cynicaly for a change too) :D mo, selectively posting, newbees worried where one plug or another will change the face of the universe, and it's pissing down (for a change) and the odd music snob interjection, just to add spice to proceedings.
Oh and the odd thing is the Sledge hammer incorperated got 2 mentions today, JFTR the older krells are better.
All were missing is a 3 bar electric fire and a mana tuning fork (anal special version, the 'rings' with a more 'defined leading ring')
oh, and a cup of tea and slice of cake

Sorta makes your heart weep really :)

Just digest and smile, no post required :)

BTW, are you the guy that sells cables that you get your mates to write testimonials about :D :D

That cable cooker sure looks interesting, could you show us the scientific evidence that it makes any difference?

"Although it is not yet fully understood scientifically, the phenomenon of "cable break-in" has been experienced by many audiophiles."

Ahhhh, no need to explain ;)

You're right. I believe Russ Andrews offers a cable burn in service for a £10 a pop.

There must be big differences between cable cookers, that's all I'm saying ;)

    juboy,

given who you are, your post could well be construed as stirring

Anyway, I'll try to continue the diplomacy :banghead: :

So what if Tony lends cables to his mates for them to write testimonials? If you were in the same position wouldn't you do the same? I've had a number of OmigaAudio cables in my system on trial and I liked most of them a lot. I just gave Tony my honest and helpful (hopefully) feedback. None of my "testimonials" have been published allthough I wouldn't have a problem if they were.

As for the cable cooker - ok, so it's pseudo science but as happens so often in hifi, if it makes an audible difference then who cares how or why it works!

Markus - you clearly missed the fun and games we had a couple of weeks ago when ZG became a battleground for the armies of the AV Talk and AV Forums admins

juboy is a moderator at AV Talk, run by "Uncle Eric" with whom a number of people here have, shall we say, major issues (and I believe the feeling is mutual) :)

I'm not going to elaborate further. Take a look at the sticky thread regarding the issue at the top of the forum.

It's just that Tony was stirring yesterday and I find it 'amusing' that he was aiming to discredit Auralex Acoustic Isolation products by asking for scientific evidence of it's effects and claiming it was snake oil.

That from a guy who offers cable cooking as a service with no scientific evidence to support it's usefulness? Hmmm.
