I thought Hancock was a great watch!

The adverts gave nothing away about the plot, so the change midway was unexpected and worked well. As for what it wants to be, why should they pick one or the other? They did both and it worked well!

The film was originally a lot longer, with more of the story of Hancock and the girl, but for some reason this all got cut out of the final release - a little frustrating, but will hopefully be seen on a DVD eventually!

Well worth watching, in my eyes!

I can't comment on Mist, but we did sneak into Wanted after watching Hancock...

It's a ridiculously daft film, more of an effects demo than anything, but it's great fun to watch! McAvoy's daft accent was annoying, but other than that, no real complaints!

If you liked Shoot 'Em Up you'll love Wanted and definitely vice versa!

    Hi Mark

I certainly hope that the missing material is put back into Hancock,as it may restore the balance to what was an unbalanced film. I did enjoy it a lot but felt it was lacking and with the info you have just supplied ,it explains the lack in it that i felt.

For me with Wanted the daftness of the plot and the activity and super powers was an issue because of the massive changes made to the story and the setting . The Comic is set in the future and the characters in many cases are not even human,Fox is literally a humanized Fox. These changes frustrated me to the point that i was unable to accept the story being told on screen.
As an effects laden AV demo it works very well, but is that what they set out to make?

    Regards D Louth

I've not read the Wanted comics myself, but if memory serves there were only a few released five or so years ago?

I think given that they're relatively poorly known compared to the majority of most recent adaptations, there was little chance of them staying true to the originals when they could do their own thing with few people feeling your frustration?

Ask the majority of people if they knew Wanted was (loosely) based on a comic series and they'll probably be none the wiser!

I saw Hancock, but missed the first 20mins as I asked for 'the next viewing' and little did I know, there was one right away that had just disappeared from the listings screen. Bah!

We walked in when he was throwing a jeep around and dropped it on that spike.

So yes, from my point of view it could have been longer, lol!

Even so, I didn't think it was that good. Will Smith was not the right casting IMO. Someone like Ice Cube would have been perfect!

I thought hancock was good, but extremely disapointing if that makes any sense. It was still a good movie, but the camera work sucked and the story got stupid. No plot
