I have always find the Lexicon DC-1/DC-2/MC-1 at bit 'flat' musically. Very neutral and detailed, but a little flat dynamically and spatially.

The new MC-4/8/12 are more musically convincing, up to the point that I think it can be used without any hesitation for critical stereo listening.
