Paul, this is a universal thing - it's not just Apple.
Why Trading Standards don't investigate this sort of thing (in general) is beyond me but , in this instance, it may actually have more to do with the $ v's GBP v's the Euro.

Nick Farrell. The guys grammar is pathetic. :) No worse than any of their other "reporters," though. It's excusable on an BBS, but in a, so called, professional article, it's inexcusable. :)

Don't get me wrong, I'm no grammar whore :) I don't even have Standard Grade (read: GCSE) English, but i do make an effort ;)

But, back to the point :)

Apple, like any other business, sell their products to the market price... It just so happens that in the UK we pay more for CDs, DVDs, and just about everything else.

I'm not a big fan of the service anyway. For 79p a track, I'd want my downloads to be Apple Lossless, or at the very least 256K AAC :)

Why does anyone download stuff from them anyway??? If I want mp3s I use WinMX and if I like a band's music enough I buy the CD. Only complete idiots would pay to download music imho. 79p a song as well get real.
