Hi fellow Nottinghamian. I have upgraded to the Arcam Diva CD192. It's 3 days old now and I like it more and more as I go thorugh the CD collection. More controlled bass (in fact I have been able to remove the foam bungs from the back of the RS6's as the boominess has been pulled together), sharper leading edges and lots more detail. Very impressive.

    Hi Chris

Can you upgrade the CD72T to the CD192?? if so, then why did you not take this option instead of buying a CD192

    Kenny,

Sorry for not getting back more quickly.

The cost of upgrading from cd72T to CD192 is £500 and for that you get the upsampling DAC installed. However, you don't get upgrades to any other components and there is more of a difference than just the DAC.
Added to this the fact I got my 192, brand new, for £780 the maths meant that was the way to go.
    I'll explain:

Upgrade = £500 and result is older machine with new DAC.

Buy new at £780 and sell CD72T for £190 so net cost is £590 and I have a brand new machine. I thought the extra £90 made sense.
