Moorgate Acoustics have both of these at reduced prices. The Arcam is ex dem at about 20% reduction and the Cyrus is boxed brand new at 25% less than original price.

Which one, please, to partner my Arcam Diva A85 for classical music?

My brain is telling me Arcam, but my heart is telling me Cyrus. I'm stuck in the Middle East and have no chance to audition. Would a Cyrus cdp work with the A85?

Well, I am biased on this one as I am currently running the CD93T with an A85 / P85, bi-amping my PMC TB2S+'s and I have to say that I am very happy with the sound, I have heard cyrus products and always found them to sound a little thin, but I have not heard this particular model, so really I cannot comment, though I would always try to use products from the same stable where possible unless there is an obvious mismatch.

    Thanks.

    I think you're probably right.
