    Mods,

I just tried to look up a past post from a forum member. I went to members>search and got a list, but I could never get past the first page of past posts, even when I clicked other page numbers I got the first page.

    Any comments?

Strange, RdS reported a similar problem when trying to look up one of his own old posts. I haven't experienced the problem myself so I have very little idea what the problem might be.

It could be a database issue but I would expect that to affect everyone. Does the problem happen all the time or only sometimes? I'll run a "repair" job on the DB tonight just to make sure it's all OK, see if that makes a difference.

Well, as it happens I am now noticing the problem when I try to search for posts by user :(

I'll do some digging on the vBulletin support pages to see if it's a known problem and do some more checking on the database aswell. Hopefully will have it resolved over the weekend :)

I've just tried clicking the "search" tabs in the posts above, and had the same problem with both of you.

Have posted a question on vBulletin.com about it. I suspect the search index on the forum may be corrupted but I won't rebuild it until I know that's the problem because it's a relatively intensive operation which may require me to close off forum access for an hour or so.

This has been fixed now. Apparently it was a bug in the version of vBulletin I was running (2.3.2) so I upgraded to the latest (2.3.4) and that fixed it.
