I can't believe that wall brackets help a speaker in any way (in a way that a pair of stands do) but will they hold a speaker back?

Is it better to build a pair of little shelves but have the speakers horizontally 8 ft up?

I'm sure this has been discussed before but am too lazy to trawl through all the past posts!!

I think the main reason they might hold it back is because you can't position the speakers out in the room. Good positioning makes a huge difference to the sound.

But, if you are stuck up against the wall anyway then I don't see why it would do much harm, as long as they are sturdy.

    yes they are....

that said - if you're speaker's are in the kitchen then this'll be fine imo - as they'll be out of the way and I doubt you'll be sitting in a sweet spot whilst listening to music anyway... ;)
