Only managed to hear a few mp3 which I quite liked! Was hoping for a postal delivery (cough cough), but seems to have gone quiet (you know who you are :p ).

May have to purchase some in the near future though!

    Work! Ahhhhhh!!!!!

    no appology required sir!

Did either of you see that clip I posted a link to over on GH? A VERY weird animation with them doing the music that was used for it! Looked like the guy had done a few acid and made it! I liked the sound of the tune used on that. Any idea what it was?

I'll need to try and find it again.

How did you find Lamb/squarepusher etc?

The tune on that animation (which was brill BTW, I tripped out and then put that on) is called Divine Moments of Truth (DMT).

I must say - after hearing reports of Spongle on both ZeroGain and other forums ... I went out and bought some.

It didn't live up to my expectations. Spongle seem like a weak Ozrics / Eat Static / Enigma hybrid :(

I will listen it a bit more ... but, so far I just get the urge to rip it out of the CD player and but some Ozrics / Eat Static on...

    <shrugs>

Now ... Infected Mushroom - now that's a different story. Can't get enough of them. Hybrid ... somewhere in the middle. A bit to commercial in the dance-by-numbers-cheese-o-rama kinda way ... but, they also have some quite impressive stuff too.

But, Spongle just don't do it for me ... :(

i can't really see where you're comming from with the ozrics comparison, 'static - hmmm maybe but i think 'static are a little more limited than shpongle (good though) and enigma are a one trick pony and better left alone - imho buy the compilation best of and be done with it.
    each to their own though...

IM - with you there whole heartedly although converting vegitarians is a bit of a shock to the system (at least the 2nd cd is).

if you like this kind of stuff take a listen to hallucinogen (simon posfords / shpongle's psy trance stuff) a lot more in your face than shpongle which is more laid back - ok i see where you're comming from with enigma i guess. alternatively try the distance to goa series which i also heartily recommend as some top psy-trance.

out of interest whaiuch shpongle did you get?
    cheers

Steve - hope you've checked out The Gathering and Classical Mushroom then? They were playing live at the first rave I ever went to (at 27!!) last year and were astonishingly good :)

Seen Eat Static live as well and they're also mad - but more old school. You should check out Dark Soho's Sun Spot (slower psy-trance - one awesome CD) and also try to hear some Cosmosis - stormingly good. Oh - and get over to Chaosunlimited.co.uk and check out the new GMS Remixes CD - it's totally mad!

I like the Shpongle CD but can see instantly where you're coming from - especially with respect to the Ozrics - I still quite like it though.

Out of all I've mentioned, I still reckon my fave has to be that Dark Soho Sun Spot though (their later CD isn't a patch on it).

BP Empire is definetly my favourite Infected Mushroom album. If you like this, check out "The Lone Deranger" by Hallucinogen. This is good shit.

I find that having experience hallucinogenics at first hand, makes Shpongle somewhat easier to get into. I think its one of the bes electronic albums of all time.
