I'm thinking of selling these to fund a business idea I have had, which has been on, off and is now on on on. It's in the very early stages, and have already sold my Chord's, and I really really didn't want to have to sell these! They are mint 9.999799/10, no marks. Come with the original 'strange but very cool' packaging boxes. Rosewood which I think adds a touch of quality. Beautifully built and heavy as hell. Knuckle test results in short sharp pain to the hand. IMO they present musical realism in spades and more so than the ProAc D38's I had before and the PMC OB1i's that followed them. Both were a little raggedy in comparison. Solid deep bass and very sweet tops, not a tizz and boom speaker. They go loud, and have a huge soundstage but never get shouty and are always composed. Obviously they can be upgraded to the impressive signatures if you are flush with the cash! Huge, amazing improvements though at a price. The Siggies are just so right and sublime. I paid (probably over the top from a dealer) £3k about 7 or 8 months ago. Hard to say as I've just been enjoying the music so sooo much with these, far more than anything else I've ever owned. Would love to get £2250, but as the market is tough, may haggle, but just an incy wincy bit...These are tuned for valves apparently, though sound fine with my SS amp. Anyone welcome for a demo, bring your Amp if required. Can listen through the Lavry I've just bought as a replacement for the Chords, which is really a grower by the way. Definately not as detailled or 'airy' but presents music in a rhythmic, coherent and kinda foottapping way, with a real swing. Yup, really getting to like this for 600 small gold coloured coins it cost. Sounds pretty great with Kate Bush Ariel. Will throw in a cup of Sainbury's taste the difference filter Coffee, or Starbucks special for people with pockets bulging (with cash, of course!). Edited: The current retail for these is £5,000 (so a nice bIG saving!). Based in SE23, London... James
