Our latest local café, which suddenly appeared in Kichijoji a couple of months ago, happens to feature a rather serious array of Goto horns.

Nice selection of Yamazaki whiskeys, and the coffee is actually quite good (though sadly not vacuum :))
Unusually, the volume isn't cranked up to 11, but is set at a comfortable level. The sound is slightly midrangy, but not so different from my NS1000X.
A nice place oto hang out from time to time.

Just fabulous. The UK has not the faintest idea what constitutes a proper café.

I would definitely drink coffee in such an establishment. No chance round here though.... I guess that the vinyl is for display purposes only?

Not just for display. Although the "master" seems to own many more CDs than LPs, he plays vinyl regularly (A Denon deck I think). Whatever the format, hard bop jazz is all I've heard him play. I do wonder how the system would work with vocals or something other than jazz...

    Hi,
AFAICT, all amplification and xovers are by Goto Unit. Class A transistor units: Goto are not romantics. Quite a different approach to most domestic horniacs...

Hard bop, vinyl, horns and coffee. Hell. I'd move in.

A horn, jazz and literature enthusiast myself, I seriously doubt I could ever find a better "library" to sit back and relax...
The link is great too, Joel. Really amazing set-ups they've got there. I'm building a pair of horns myself. Only 1,5m tall :MILD:!

    Regards,

    Vincula
