Not very often ATC introduces anything new so its very unusual to see not one but four new or revamped products. So though this was certainly worth pointing out.

    SCM7:

    SCM40:

I think that they've done well at making them look more domestically acceptable with a nice clean look. I particularly like the SCM40 which is much better looking than the outgoing SCM35.

I also believe that ATC now make their own tweeters rather than relying on Seas and Vifa. And they've also introduced a new cone material in the SCM11 dubbed CLD.

The rest of the details can be found here:

Sorry MO!, I meant strictly the looks. I'm sure the sound won't disappoint either.

There have been 3 pairs of SCM35's listed on eBay in the last week.

Could be a good time to pick up a bit of a bargain on the old SCM35's as the dealers, etc move over the new "lightweight" SCM40. If you can get a pair around the £1000 mark, that's a lot of speaker for the money.

Those ex-demo SCM35's got no bids with a starting price of £1050.

That's a surprise and shows the folly of trying to sell an item with a high starting price.

Wow, they've been busy, what with this new range and the Anniversary range (50 and soon the 100 as well)! They look pretty sweet. Curious to hear the new tweeter...

It does strike me as a bit strange that they felt the need for two mid-sized standmounts in the range... Seems to me the old SCM-7/12/35 combo made more sense. But perhaps they're just responding to customer demand? I'm very curious to hear the differences between the new 7, 11, and 19. I wonder how the new woofer in the 11 sounds compared to the old ATC stalwarts in the 7 and 19, especially since it lacks the traditional integrated soft dome mid?

    Anybody heard them yet?

I assume the SCM19 effectively kills off the SCM20. They cost about £2k don't they.

one clever guy bids for it now
there won't be any better time to buy these speakers. Especially if their new midrange unit used in ATC 40 won't stand to the old standards. :MILD:

Yes, definately a bargain in terms of the sheer quality of engineering employed in the drive units alone. All that for about a £grand.
