Just been watching Sky news coverage of the attempted bombings.

Interesting to note the car was not a VW Polo. Could the reason be this?

    Graham.

Joking aside I think they did very well to find the device and deal with it efficiently.

Unfortunately from my reading of the various news items, it was largely just luck that it was found. It was not the result of an anti-terror operation, but rather some vigilant people.

According to the BBC it was an ambulance crew that found it. So, yes, we have been very lucky indeed.

An attempt to cause grief and mayhem with the emphasis upon punishing people eating, drinking & dancing into the small hours - IMHO a bit like the hit in Bali.

This may turn out to be a good thing if the Police manage to catch him.

    Last chance, I guess.

It'll be illegal to light up in public buildings tomorrow!!

    Graham.

Oops, just occured to me. It's already illegal in Scotland.

Just how many attempts were there?

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/uk_news/6260626.stm

I'm glad they all failed but ISTM that some of the attempts were almost comical and have resulted in only the perpetrators getting hurt. Thank God (if he/she/it exists:D).
