Something about frequency range, bandwidth, or is it audio spectrum (or something)? Like in a music, how much frequency range(s?) is measurable; stuffs like this. Or am I still not being clear here

i believe that traditionally the 'audio band' is 20hz to 20khz however the ability to feel notes below 20hz and for some to percieve frequencies above 20khz means that it's a nebulous definition at best. now with sacd and dvd-a (fnarr) hitting 96 - 100 khz i don't really think the phrase means very much anymore.
    cheers

There may be some papers or articles about this. This just stems from one portion of Mr. R. Blacks recent feature write up in HFC about mastering. He very briefly mentioned something about equalisation. I thought maybe it'd be informative also to know more about the measurement of frequency range, etc.

    Osama,

Have a look at the following link:

    http://www.sfu.ca/sca/Manuals/ZAAPf/i/index_perception.html

It has lot's of links to small snippets of information, each often further linked to relevant lead-ons. If you need more detail, or information relative to a particular application, you'll need to be more specific.
