I have a singing/guitar microphone connected to an XLR to USB converter and ever since I've started using it, I get people complaining that my voice sounds crackly and like a robot, normally replugging the converter fixes it temporarily but it comes back over time. I've come to the conclusion that it is static build-up, so I moved the converter away from my monitors and this worked, but recently I bought a network switch and the crackling has come back. I've moved the switch and the converter apart but still no luck. I even wrapper the converter in aluminium foil, no luck. I really don't want to go back to a crappy headset microphone as I love the sound quality this mic has. I'm going to test the mic and converter on another machine in a different room to see if it's any different. I also use a virtual mixer called Voicemeter potato, this allows me to separate my audio into different tracks for streaming/recording. So when I test with a different machine it won't use the mixer. Any help would be much appreciated. Equipment: Singing/guitar condenser microphone Focusrite Scarlett Solo Interface VoiceMeter Potato Standard XLR and USB cable
