    Any one heard this amp, Audio Research SS amp.
    Ive seen one at£750, seem a decent price aswell?

    had a mail back
    they are asking £795, in budget.
    But no home demo policy, so seems yo buy and live with it.
    That makes me uncertain about it.......

    Let me guess - Central Audio. I've not heard great things about this guy.

    Ive had that problem with Central Audio too.

    Ive never used him because of it.

    I can reccomend Nick at the emporium (www.emporium.dircon.co.uk) ...

    He will home demo on a sale or return/exchage - as long as you agree it with him before hand, and as long as you pick up all postal costs.

    Sounds fair to me.

    yep that sounds fair chris, but emporium havent got much that im after at the mo.
    They have a Celeste, but when i asked for model num etc i got no reply:rolleyes:
    They also have an AVI pre power combo at 750, but i suspect at that price it is of the same age as the crap i got ripped off with (sorry, tad of bitterness there)

    I found a NAD S300 in Hampshire for 650, witing for a reply at the mo

    Perhaps 'cool and classic' would let you buy the AR amp on sale or return... on the proviso that should you wish to refund he could deduct his outgoing postage costs before refunding you, and check to make sure it returns in the same condition?

    Just a thought.
