The Audiolabs tone controls were a bit heavy handed IMO and best left alone.

I have got the combo Audiolab Power Amplifier 8000P and Pre-Amp Audiolab 8000C.
I wonder which speakers for this combo?

well to be honest its an easy combo to match up. with no big sonic nasties to cover up. in the day they were new I loved that combo with both the mission 752 fredoms and the castle harlechs

For what it's worth, I had the TAG equivalents. PA10 (pre-amp, though) and 60P. Adding another 60P to bi-amp "horizontally" (one did the bass, the other amp the treble) brought good benefits to my B&W CDM9NTs.
    Different systems, different experiences, though.

Superb amplifier with plenty of power even into difficult speaker loads. Loaded with inputs and facilities and comes complete with very useable tone controls (if you need them) and an excellent MM/MC phono satge.

It will work equally well with any good speakers.
