The Supertweeter MKII is now available from AudioSmile!

This replaces the popular original supertweeter with a dual ribbon version which basically delivers more of everything the original did so well.

In addition to all the upgrades, this new supertweeter is available on sale or return, so you can try it at home for the cost of postage.

Read all about the way it works on the website here - http://www.audiosmile.com/supertweeter-mkii.html

The price is £580 + VAT and shipping.

What is the minimum and maximum sensitivity, and what are the 6 gain adjustments in dB steps?

    Thanks!

    Hi Jim,

It can match speakers up to about 94dB sensitivity. The steps are in 1.5dB increments. Combined with the various positioning options this is enough to match nearly all speakers.

For example if you want to match a really low sensitivity speaker around 82dB the supertweeter can be angled upwards and out to the sides ('upwards' in the illustration). If you wanted to match with a high sensitivity speaker the supertweeter could be placed aiming the ribbons forwards ('forward' in the illustration) to get more direct sound. Different positioning also gives slightly different presentation, so it's something to play with.
