My Affordable Valve Company amp is now up for sale as I'm going headphone (see my other listings). Was revalved earlier this yr (thread about it somewhere on hifiwigwam forum). This is Lim's high end KT88 amp. He sells these for £1400. Should give you many yrs of use before revalving again becomes necessary.
I'm asking £800. Been a flawless runner since I bought it and as I've mentioned in other wigwam threads I really like the sound of this amp. It does something with the lead vocal that I've not heard before (very full bodied & tonally rich).

    Affordable KT88

    Hi there Steve,

I'm interested in buying your amp - but can you tell me if you were able to test it against any of the rest of the Affordable range?

The original budget was for the £410 VR110....

    Cheers

    Hi,

Sorry - should have closed this thread down. I'm afraid its been sold.

I didn't have a chance to compare it against any of the other AVC amps but I thought it was a lovely amp. Lead vocals sounded really amazing through it (very in the room).

    Cheers,

    Steve
