Mine doesn't have that groovy handle(pun kinda intended) or green lined box - don't think I'd pay an extra £8.00 for them though. Is this one of those occasions where a product may be hugely more expensive in other shores, so paying over the odds on ebay is actually a good deal?

Goomer where did you get yours from and does it work? I could do with cleaning some of my records, some of them are twice as hold as me.

As Joolsburger said, www.vivante.co.uk - if you have a look at the vinyl accessories section there's a catalogue that you can download as a pdf file, and, from memory, I think the Nagaoka roller is at the top of the list.

    Hope that helps,

    Goomer.

The Nagaoka doesn't work at all well. Better to spend your hard-earned on a cheap record cleaning machine like the Knosti disco antistat. If that's too much hassle, get a carbon fibre brush.

The Nak is good enough for removing dust and fluff from a record but won't deep clean. I use one all the time and find it better than a carbon brush. can build up static though if you go too fast.

The Nagaoka only cleans the top surface of the record, which is okay if you have a lot of fluff etc. on it. The carbon fibre brush will also clean the groove itself. Works better for me.

I find the brushes just move the dust around whereas the roller picks it up.

As for the grooves I can't see that well!! Sounds okay to me though.

I use caustic soda and a wire brush and it gets everything off. :MILD:
