we went there at the weekend as I was interested in seeing Brian Enos work entitled - The Constellations (77 Million Paintings) (http://www.balticmill.com/whatsOn/present/ExhibitionDetail.php?exhibID=64) but as it turns out it was good but not amazing...well, the images were great, but the sound quality of the soundtrack left a lot to be desired...!! however, while watching the local news there was an article about a marcus Coates http://www.balticmill.com/whatsOn/present/ExhibitionDetail.php?exhibID=61 who recorded the sound of a load of individual birds singing - slowed them down 20 times then got a load of singers to mimic their slowed down sounds and then speed that up to the original speed so that they sounded almost the same as the birds! and it's all captured on video too...what a great concept! so, there are 19 individual singers replicating 19 birds - just in case you thought they were singing all together...
