Grothendieck: nice selection of some fine keyboard Bach-ers!

Really, it would give me a severe headache if I were to select all those favourite tracks to fill 5 CD-R's. There's too much to choose from.

That's why I was lazy and picked those 5 'pre-prepared' issues.

And now, more than a year later, on my desert island, I'm still happy with them. :)

But .... what if there's a ship arriving too late ....

    Sardines in my eyebrows ....
Lobsters up and down my forehead ....

Thanks Marc. There's more Bach that I need to listen to. Those are some thoughts so far.

Given your wide-ranging musical interests, I can see how attempting to choose would be a rather arduous task.

The funny thing is: in my present every-day-life, 95% of my music listening time is dedicated to Bach.
But I've experienced that, from time to time, I'm also in need of some other music. Hence my selection. :)

    But hey! Wait a sec!
The word 'issue' can be used in several ways!

OK. I will rewrite my message from May 5th 2010:

I'll change 5 cd's into 5 issues, and no CD-R burning possibility. Because otherwise it would take me about a year to create five discs of 80 minutes with favourite music.

Bach, Complete Edition. (For instance: the Brilliant Classics box.)
Mozart, Le Nozze di Figaro, Solti et al (studio recording: Te Kanawa, Allen, Popp, Ramey, Von Stade).
    Rachmaninov, Vespers, Sveschnikov.
    Lassus, Cantiones Sacrae, Herreweghe.

Mmm, this makes only four issues.
So I will add this one:
The Beatles, the stereo recordings box.

    :D
