Friend of mine asked me to take a look at some records he wants to sell, says he has a box full in his loft but the first ones he pulls out are only what appear to be first pressings of the Beatles albums Revolver and Rubber Soul, recorded in mono.

Problem is, they are not in mint condition, there are quite a few surface marks on the vinyl even a couple of scratches but they are all perfectly playable. I have given them a thorough clean on my Nitty Gritty Pro machine and made sure that the one in an old paer inner sleeve now sits in a nice anti-static inner sleeve.

He also has an album by John Lennon and Yoko Ono, appears to be some conversation or verbal dialogue.

He is basically looking for best offers I think, so if anyone is interested drop me an email, PM's will not be answered as I getting ready to leave for a trip to the USA.

All the index numbers on the Beatles albums seem to indicate these are the desirable loud mono pressings, I am not a Beatles fan at all but these old mono recordings give them a much rawer edge, which sounds much better IMHO than some of the stereo 'pop' sounding pressings (this is not meant to offend any Beatles fans or get into a long dialogue about how good they were).
