He was supposed ot be here at 7:30. I tried phoning at 8:05 and he said I he would phone me back. Still no answer, there should be at least two other people in the car so if he was driving others could phone me back or answer it.

He is only driving 9 miles so it is exactly far and if there is heavy traffic it is easy to divert from it.

He has had a habbit of amber gambeling i.e going through on amber and lately he has been pushing it a bit too much so I am worried me may have been involved in accident.

This has got to be the weirdest forum post I have ever seen, and I read Berlin Fritz posts.

He is a good driver in the main, he never drives to fast or tailgates, it just the light thing which his major flaw.

I still have no idea but the fact he has not told me yet suggests it is his fault.

He only has third party insurance but the car is worthless anyway.

Basicaly it was sort of his fault but wasn't. It is a long story, the police were invovled, it sounds like my mates car came off best.

He drove it home but said it makes a clonking noise when turning right.

Sorry, I have no sympathy for 'Amber Gamblers'. Nine years ago I was hit broadside by one. It took me ten months to recover from the physical and mental trauma.

I just hope for his sake, and that of other road users, that he learns from the experience.

This accident was not caused by ambler gambling though :). It wasn't his fault just in the eyes of the law it was.

If you are driver you should know what things are never clear cut. You must have been in those situations before.

    I am a driver.
If plod were involved in your mates accident it suggests someone was injured.
I've never been in an accident when someone was injured or plod was required to attend.

I have, when my dad crashed the car. Nobody was injured, if was that bad the police would not have let him drive home, especialy when the car was badly damaged.

I am sure a lot of us have done it form time to time, of course it is the most stupid thing you can do but human brains often do silly things.

AT, would you still take such a relaxed view of this if your mate had seriously injured someone? or worse? I realise that as a mate, he probably should command some respect/support etc but come on! IMO, there is simply no excuse for it.

I can think of stupider.... but as others have said, no point defending it... what if he'd smashed into your MOther/father?
