So did I when Fox recently posted a pic and comments on pfm. So I bought one on spec. The gamble paid off.

Shame the iBasso only has one optical input- I'd rather have more optical inputs and no USB.

I have the iBasso running via usb from my laptop and I am really chuffed with it. I have also used it via the coax input with my cdp and it sounds exactly the same as the usb route. I am wondering now if a £500+ usb dac will be a big improvement.

Mmm - No disrespect (the Ibasso is after all portable / laptop size), however a laptop as source is hardly the audiophile test I was hoping to hear about esp if you are playing mP3's from it.
Until I get one connected to my TVC, tube and speakers and try it I shall remain unconvinced:rds2:

I was playing bitperfect lossless files from the laptop then the same tracks using the cdp as a transport, there was no difference.
I am not claiming the iBasso to be the best but is very good for the money.I purchased it as a experiment with pc music now I know pc music can sound good I would like to try a more upmarket dac.

Thanks muzzer - Good to know. You hear so many differing views on whether PC streaming is as good. It's certainly the future I think.
