If anyone has not seen this i reccomend buying straight away!

    the 309s were 5* reviewed at £750!

Ihave bought a few pairs for eBay resale but ican't sell them untill all of theese had been bought.

So pick up a great deal, then i will put a few on eBay!

    :D

In truth I have not heard the subs.

I have tried the 300s and 309s both of which are highly reccomended!

I have not tried the sub for the reason that if you check the frequency responce the units go deeper than most subs anyway.

The speakers look to be excellent value at about a fifth of their normal retail price.

I've checked the website, and they are advertising a bass response of +- 6db at 37hz with the 309 model.

The Sub in the same series they say goes to 35hz.

The driver in the sub is just an 8" drive unit, compared to the 7" drive unit in the 309's, which is why there isnt a lot in it.

If you ever wanted to explore what deep bass can do, I'd suggest trying a sub with at least a 10" drive unit, if not 12" or 15". When properly implemented these will obviously give much deeper bass than an 8" drive unit.

    For £70, the 300s are really tempting - shame I don't have room for the 309s :(

Gah! I've got too much spare kit as it is :p

Just rang up to confirm my order that I placed yesterday and spoke to a charming Spanish/Italian sounding woman. She said they're pretty busy at the moment so they must have plenty of orders....

Thanks for that order form I've just ordered a set of 309, 300 and 300c on my credit card. Gonna let my parents chose which ones they want then sell the other two.

    :D

The AVIs are in my bedroom which is very small. I dread to think what the 309s would sound like in there. I'd probably get blown out the window...

If I wasn't overdrawn I'd be after a pair of 309s like a shot....not much use to me at uni since they're so big and wouldn't fit in my room, but for home they'd do the business nicely! I have a job interview on Tuesday, if I get it I'm seriously tempted to go for the 309s. I'd presume they're at least £150 better than a pair of B&W 602 Series 1s?

    :)

Wow that is quite a find, its gona cost me £150 to fix my tannoy super tweeter :( i am tempted just to relegate them to rear speaker duties, bung the m71's in the toilet and get a pair of 309's! I cant say im very impressed with the 37hz low end reach, even my tannoys can reach 39hz and they are small ish standmounts. But hey i guess at £150 yo cant go wrong. Then again specs arent always accurate, my mission m53's are rated at a mere 44hz but boy do they sink lower than that, ive had times where ive forgotten to switch the rel to low level input for movies and still marvel at the deep bass thinking its the sub... will some1 post a review on here as soon as they get their grubby mits on a pair :D i'll most probably get my tannoys fixed :)

    cheers

...and how many dB down is the 39hz spec for your Tannoys??? I bet it's a LOT lower than the 37hz spec for the AEs...???

anyone else noticed that the "352M Package" is a tenner more than the speakers are listed individually?

the 309s are calling my name - I can hear them in my sleep - but I don't have room for them, and I don't have £150 :) grr

Heard the 309s at Bristol on the end of Arcam FMJ. I was sorely tempted until I heard the Castles (but then the Castles cost a fair bit more). The 309s were excellent value for money. At £150 they are a no-brainer.
