Just got myself i lovely next gen 20G i-pod, just need some decent sounding but discrete headphones. Do decent in-ear1s exsist? Ive seen some £35 senheisser px100 folding 1s which look tempting. I dont mind spending more if theres sonic benefits.

    What he said.

The Sony's are no contest really unless you want to spend well over £100 for something exotic liky Etymotics or Shure in-ear phones.

I have a pair of PX40's they look crap but they are the best sounding portable headphones I have ever used. I found the MX400 to sound crap but I just hate in the ear kind in general as they always fall out of my ears.

I love using these on buses they block out any background noises but I always get some funny looks :p

To give you an idea of the scale of these things the Philips badge is the saze as the Philips badge on their HIFI seperates and smaller 14" TVS.

Those Sony's seem to be very highly regarded, at £35 cant really go wrong! So has any1 compared them to the senheissers ive mentioned? Those phillips cans recomended arent very 'discrete' and im not prepared to be seen in public with those on :D i reckon headphone manufaturers should make white headphones to compliment the ipod, the standard 1s look good but sonically arent up to much...

Im not to shure  about the N24's, how much and where can i buy from?

Shure E2's are better than the Sony's but cost a little bit more money - about £55 on ebay.

Etymotic make a white version of the E6, but they do cost quite a bit (about £150 in the UK I think).

Personally I'm glad my Sony's are not white as a pair of white earphones basically says "I've got an iPod, please mug me" ;)

You can get the Sony 'phones in white... I've seen them in Selfridges for around £35.

I think if people see you wearing Shure's, they just think you are deaf :D (cos they look like hearing aids)

You are correct they do look like hearing aids, but they have the ability to make yer head wobble with the right kinda music, especially if used with a portable headamp

Does that mean when I where my hearing aids it will look like I am wearing Shure headphones :p

PS If you were deaf there would be no point at all in wearing hearing aids.
