What suggestions do you have for solid-state electronics (preferably modestly sized, so one-box preferred) to go between a Transporter source and Neat MFS speakers?

I'm a classical / jazz listener usually at modest listening levels.

I'm thinking s/h, price at appropriate level to get the best out of difficult to drive speakers.

So, one suggestion of the amp he's selling, and one for integrated solutions without the current to drive the speakers.

    That's not very helpful, lads!

    Oh, thanks OB, simultaneous postings!

Roy, why don't you have a listen to them with my Krell 400Xi...although it can sound a bit too revealing with heavy metal disc but really is stunning with Jazz and classical.

Be thankful no-one's suggested selling your speakers, saying that they're the cause of the problem!

Lots of power, cheap-ish integrated would suggest Rotel to me.

I sincerely hope this is not the general attitude in this forum. Just of a select few lacking in certain etiquette. We are generally more friendly. It's just possible that others either haven't seen this thread or don't have a sugestion. Give them time.

    Of course not Antonio.

All I'm suggesting is that we should refrain from sarcasm, personal insults etc. etc. All such comments achieve is to get people's backs up and in the last few days have probably driven some members away from here. In case you are wondering, I'm not suggesting that it's just you.

Personally I don't understand why anyone would tarnish the whole forum with the same brush after reading a few posts, but I suppose first impressions do matter.

I am glad you agree that I was answering a rude post...

I know I shouldnt bother, but some guys just do it over and over again, if no one answers, they continue, driving people away, as you say...

Why not try a Copland csa28, you can get them for ok money and build is excellent, good quality sound and should be ok for classical and jazz.Would work the Neats well.

    What is your budget?

There is a second hand bel canto integrated FS on one of the used hifi sites. or what about an ASR emitter 1 there are a cople of second hand older models around. I don't think you would change if you got one of those.

    melorib,

My apologies if you thought I was rude, certainly not my intent.

I promise I'm a harmless old guy, but I am used to a bit of banter on websites.

    Yours, sheepishly,

    Sandgrownun

Thanks for that suggestion. I wondered about some of the new class D amps. Budget is elastic, but I'd like a bargain!
