I'm aware of the style of site/tv channel, but don't make a habbit of watching them so couldn't tell a genuine one from a made up one.

Don't really understand how the bidding works either

you used to bid I think but everyone got confused, now its get your bid in at the higher price you are willing to pay as the quantity plummets and everyone pays the lower price it drops to if the product doesn't shift quickly. Some things suddenly drop by a lot. Crap like onyx world globes start at about £250 and rapidly plummet to about 50 quid!

I got 85 hours of Miami Vice for £36 quid! The best bargains on TV I think, are at stupid o'clock in the morning when all the nutters (myself included) are still up! I think Price Drop TV and Bid TV are the same. My friend sells towels and bed linen to them, when they say they only have 50 sets of something they are fibbing as they won't buy less than 2000 of anything. Just keep repeating the item. Normally end of line stuff. Yup its on Freeview.

The thing I'm looking at finishes tomorrow. I said I'd buy it and it was currently on £15.50. It's now on £12.80

It says we (the buyers) will all only pay the lowest price.... Does that mean that if it was to end now, I'd only pay £12.80 instead of the £15.50?
There are 3 of them left still so how far does it drop? Is there a low point or will it keep going to 1p or something?

    To answer my own question....

The price dropped to £8 and stopped there till end of the auction.
That's all I have to pay.

Postage seems quite steep, but the same thing was going for £20 on ebay.

Shall have a look at what else is on offer..... :D

sorry Mo, got back in the end. Yes I think on some auctions the post is where they make the money, its just a waiting game really, but I quite like it. Like Ebay though, its something I should steer clear of particularly in the early hours of the morning, "Oh, an Elvis Croquet set, what a great idea" "Oooh a vegetable slicer that makes tomato flowers" "Poseidon Adventure Boxset" better get one of those...

All they need is Julia Roberts from QVC... :D:D:D

Oh look! Bob's made a reply.... I wonder what cynical arsey comment it could be today.....

Why sad? I'd been after something for quite a while and the only place I'd been able to find it was ebay at about £25

I've just got it for £8 off this site.

However, if you wish to change it to "sad bugger", I'll gladly join in with mocking SMEagol! Vegetable slicers indeed! ;)
