Go on, show us your bits!

New SRAM X.0 twist shifter and my louise FR brake that I've had for a while.

New Louise brake and SRAM X.9 trigger shifter (again, had for a while).

Lots to see here... My aged but excellent ESP 9.0 mech, new Hope XC hub, new XT M760 cassette, new SRAM PC991 chain and, of course, the new louise brake.

I suspect a slight imbalance between the 210mm front brake and 160mm rear brake...

I built my bike over last winter and have used it as much as possible since.

It makes trails like Afan Argoed and Coeed Y Brenin so much easier!

I'm especially pleased as I built the whole thing myself bar fitting the headset and until then I knew nothing about how bikes were put together.

    Heres the spec...

    Bottom Bracket: XTR
Brake Levers: XTR (included in shifters)
Rear Brakes: Shimano XTR [ceramic pads]
Front Brakes: Shimano XTR [ceramic pads]
    Cables: Shimano XTR/JagWire
    Cassette: SRAM PG990
    Chain: SRAM PC99
    Crankset: Shimano XTR
Derlr (Front) Shimano XTR (34.9, Bottom Pull)
Derlr (Rear) 2004 Shimano XTR, Long cage
    Fork: Fox Forx F80X Terralogic
Frame: 2004 Scott Team Issue (Scandium , Size S)
    Grips: Scott AT4 Comfort Neoprene
    Handlebar: Amoeba SCUD Carbon
Headset: Chris King NoThreadSet 1 1/8"
    Headset Cap/Bolt: Chris King
    Pedals: Odyssey Svelte Ti
    Seat Binder: Scott (34.9mm)
    Seat: SDG Bel-Air
    Seatpost: Thomson Elite (31.6x350mm)
    Shifters: Shimano XTR STI M952
    Stem: Syntace F99 254 (75mm) Steel bolts
Tyre (Front) Maxxis Minotaur [Not Panaracers as pictured]
Tyre (Rear): Maxxis Minotaur [Not Panaracers as pictured]
Wheelset: Mavic Crossmax XL [ceramic rims]

The bike comes in just under 8500 grammes without the Crud Catcher.

    Just don't ask how much.....

Very nice... good race bike. I got a little tired of my old alu hardtail with the "beaten up" feeling at the end of each ride, although I have read that scandium is closer to Ti in terms of the way it rides (more compliant than 7005 anyway). Mine is now tipping the scales at 13500g:

Marin East Peak 6061-T6 Elite monocoque single-pivot frame (not the Quad-Link)
    Fork: Magura Asgard 100
    Shock: Fox Float
    BB: FSA Platinum ISIS
    Cranks: Ritchey Pro V2
    Front mech: XT M760
    Rear mech: ESP 9.0
    Front Shifter: X.9 Trigger
    Rear Shifter: X.0 Twist
    Chain: PC-991
    Cassette: XT M760
Front wheel: Magura Gustav M hub, DT Competition 2.0/1.8, Mavic 717
Rear wheel: Hope XC hub, DT Competition 2.0/1.8, Mavic 717
Tyres: Panaracer Trailraker 2.1 (Winter tyres. Last summer was Panaracer Mach SS 1.95, but this summer I'm planning on Cinders)
Front Brake: Magura Louise FR 210
    Rear Brake: Magura Louise 160
    Headset: Cane Creek S2
    Stem: Amoeba CNC Handwork (eh?!)
Bar: Club Roost GoFast Comp II
    Grips: Race Face Good'n'Evil
    Seatpost: Selcof
    Saddle: Setlaz

Planned changes: FSA XC190 bar and XC140 stem, new shock (body wear on the fox. Probably replace with a DT SD225L or, if I can find one, Magura Odin). Maybe a lighter seatpost and saddle too. After that, I would like a 4-bar frame (Ellsworth Truth, Turner Flux, Kona King Kikapu or similar) and maybe get the Ronin fork.

I've managed to get my full-suss Orange down to approx 11.200 kg. Less [kg] is most definitely more [£££] :(

nothing new on mine, other than an Easton EA70 monkey bar.

I still use bar ends on it, but do I care what it looks like? Do I bollocks like! :D

next parts wise, a new saddle is on the radar, and some new treads. I like 1.9's and am wondering what the lightest is at the moment that still retains traction and doesnt sacrifice everything for its low weight..

The saddle I'm looking at is the Sella concour lite. It seems light, a bit like a flite and only about £30. My 3 main criteria there! (weight, price, a style I can be comfortable on) Any thoughts?

    Sorry, no new pics.

Hows the new hope hub Isaac (and the brakes?)

That Scott looks feather light. How are you finding the carbon ride?

    Cheers
    Chris

Dev - how about some that smoke pink for doing burnouts?

Chris - Hope is great, very smooth and very quiet. Rear brake is useless because muggins got blue blood all over the pads, so it squeals and not much else. New pads and cleaning the rotor with alcohol and/or washing up liquid should see it right.

Got some nice pink-walls on my M3! :D

They are actually red, but it was a very sunny day and a rubbish phone camera.

Looks a bit better in this shot.
