well? are the rises for investment going to go to the directors and share holders as well? if being raised to pay for infrastructure, it should all go there.....

    Sir

Instead of wasting your time whinging on a hifi forum and boring the tits off us all, why don't you take some positive stance such as standing for Parliament at the next election. I have no doubt that you will be voted in by a massive majority and then you can change the law.

You will acheive nothing by whinging here.

Or do you just like whinging.

The increase in water rates is primariarly to pay for cleaning up the water works.

If you dont want to pay, turn off your bloody tap.

Why has this nation become a bunch of whingers. Why don't these bloody whingers get off their asses and do something positive.

I dislike bloody whingers, they are a bunch of miserable sods who make everyone elses life miserable.

    Regards

    Mick

Actually Mick this was more of a constructive discussion about the fact that if they are raising bills then the cash SHOULD go on the 'hardware'.

    A valid discussional point IMO.

You can blame the media for the preoccupation for whining, people just take the bait.

There is a culture of whinging in the country, and TBH, I do get fed up with the media myself in this. I regretfuly feel it is only going to get worse.I agree it can be tiresome and irritating.

we are a nation of grumblers, as well as corner shopkeepers!

I have actually said before in one of my whinges:) that I am happy to pay for improvements if I can see proof that the cash is going to where it is earmarked.

    but point taken mick:)

    Re: Sir

So is whinging about whingers acceptable then? :D

Actually the water companies are taking the piss with talk of 30% increases - christ, my bill's already over £400 p.a. and the water's as hard as nails.

Also, I'm not sure of the logic of your water bill being based on the size of your house - wouldn't it be fairer to base it on the number of people living therein?
