Boiled Eggs and Tea

    Ah, but not today Gary.

    My wife boiled the eggs and then called me down to breakfast. She made tea but hasn't yet got the toast habit (she's German). I love toast but by the time I went downstairs the eggs were ready. As there was no toast, I buttered some bread instead, thinking that I would be better off forgoing my usual soldiers in order to eat the egg hot.

    Yet still, the tea tasted so great that I was inspired to start this thread.

    A little more detail than you needed perhaps but I thought it was important to make the point. Yes, toast is wonderful with boiled eggs (or poached, fried, scrambled, etc.) but it wasn't the toast that made my tea taste so great.

    now, I do like a good fried egg sarnie too - fried in butter and with a good helping of pepper, sometime chives for that bit extra flavour...
